How to order Custom Sizes

To order custom sizes, choose ‘Custom Size’ in the Size dropdown box, choose all your other options (Colour, Backing & Border) and boxes will appear beneath the price to enter the measurements you require. The price will automatically be calculated.

There are minimum and maximum custom sizes. Larger sizes cost less/m2 as shown in the Measurement Price Bands displayed.

NB: Due to natural shrinkage in the manufacturing process, there may be a +/- 3% size variation on made-to-measure mats made with borders. The custom size you enter is the size the mat will be made to, which includes the borders. Mats made without borders are cut to your exact size requirement.

Ordering to fit in a Mat Well / Recess

Choose ‘No Rubber Border’. Ensure you measure accurately. You may wish to add a little to each dimension, to allow you to trim to size on-site to ensure a snug fit. This is simple to do with a sharp utility knife and steel rule. The total mat depth is approx 11.5mm and is recommended for use in mat wells with a depth of between 9mm and 11.5mm.

Delivery timescale

Due to the custom nature of these mats, a lead time of approx. 2 weeks is required for production and delivery. The mats are currently being made in our EU factory, and you will receive notifications from our courier DHL when your mat is on its way to you. Dimensionally Stable Rubber Backing

The dimensionally stable rubber backing will not split or crack and resists rucking beneath the wheels or legs of a chair. A choice of smooth backing and claw backing will help keep the mat in place on hard floors or carpets. For medium to deep pile carpets (9mm+), we recommend combining the chair mat with our Teebaud Premium Mat Underlay product, which is very effective at preventing any mat movement or rucking when the chair is moved. You should still select the claw backing, so the mat grips the underlay.

Washable Chair Mat

The mat face is incredibly durable, stain-resistant and easy to clean without the need for chemicals. Perfect to cope with those coffee spills or lunches at your desk. The mats can also be laundered in a washing machine, although larger mats may only fit in a commercial washing machine.

With or Without Border

Choose to have your custom chair mats with or without a rubber border. You may prefer to have one without a border for aesthetic reasons. The fibres are bonded to the rubber backing to prevent shedding.

Made from recycled materials, Shades Eco Heavy Duty Mats are the eco-friendly choice of floor mat. The face, 95% constructed of recycled PET plastic bottles, is incredibly stain resistant and easy to clean without the need for chemicals. The mats can also be laundered in a washing machine.
